I am currently fundraising to help cover the costs related to my upcoming trip to Sweden as a member of USA Football’s Women’s National Team. This annagural & prestigious event will showcase the women from around the country & current IWFL players in a round robin All-Star football tournament in Stockholm.
For those of you who are not familiar with our organization, the Independent women’s Football League (IWFL) is a nationwide women’s tackle football league that was created to support the women that play the game and the fans that come out to support them. The IWFL is the only officially recognized tackle football league for women in the United States and has been in operation since 2000. The number one goal for the IWFL from the beginning has been to build a strong foundation, so the sport could grow and new opportunities could be created. The 2010 USA Football Women’s National Team is just such an opportunity.
The Team USA training camp begins on June 19th as we all travel to Texas for several days of workouts prior to flying to NY and then onward to Denmark, Sweden where we will play the other teams from Canada and Europe across the following 13 days.
I am asking you to help us out this year by giving a donation to support my participation. The IWFL is working very hard to provide the United States with the first ever International Women’s World Championship title and I hope to be part of that endeavor. I thank you for consideration and any donation amount is greatly appreciated! |
